If 3rd party was non-existent on the Wii (debatable), then how come it lasted 6 years with a 2 year phase-out (it's still selling by the way)? It lasted till 2012, and it was almost completly driven by Nintendo's software at that point, which abruptly stopped in 2011 for God knows what reason. What makes you think WiiU will have a longer support when every single thing points otherwise? It has even less 3rd party support and Nintendo is struggling with HD development of their games. If the Wii, with its steep launch curve lasted 6-8 years, the U can definitely last longer, with or without 3rd party support. Where is the logic or evidence behind that? Wii U is selling in its 2nd year like Wii was selling in 2012, its 6th year. Wii U will be lucky not to be discontiniued by 2017 3rd party support is an argument often provided by non-Nintendo fans due to a lack of insight into what makes Nintendo successful. (hint: it's Nintendo games) And we all saw how well Nintendo supported the Wii, thejr most succesfull system, in its later years (hint: they didn't at all) |
