Right, and i'm just wondering if, as part of that advertising deal, Activision must delay announcement of versions for Nintendo platforms? It could be that Microsoft tried to get Activision to run it as a pretend exclusive (again, as a part of this advertising deal), but given the sales parity with PS, Activision said no, so they just settled with excluding Nintendo platforms.) |
This makes perfect sense really. There are millions of COD fans. If MS can eliminate one of the potential platform options to play COD on, it's good for them. Activision doesn't make that much off COD on Wii U anyway, so the extra cash to delay the announcement is probably worth it to them.
Many consumers really think of COD as an XBox title, or at least an XBox or PS title. They don't even know you can play it on Wii U.
