The Wii isn't really unexplained. The units sell when the shipment comes in or when the stores decide to put them out on the shelves.
The PS3 increase is less dramatic, it only went up 25% or so. 360 saw a similar, but smaller, increase so it's just an increase in gamer spending for this week, I think. Perhaps in anticipation of Easter long weekend and the week of holidays that a lot of primary and secondary schools get afterward.
