In 2003 Mario Kart had 60fps split screen, Mario Kart 8 has only 30fps because Nintendo didn't care, not because WiiU isn't powerfull enough to do it. |
Double Dash had FAR smaller, less complex track designs and character models, running at FAR lower graphical fidelities. It's not even a comparison. I appreciate what you're trying to say about Wii U being able to do 60fps splitscreen. Who knows, maybe you're right. But that doesn't mean Nintendo dropped the framerate in 3/4 player because they "didn't care". MK8 happens to be one of the best looking games of this entire new generation so far, on FAR weaker hardware than PS4. And it still plays great, even IN multiplayer.
