Sonic Heroes is a game that had the potential to be the greatest Sonic game ever.
Here is what I would fix:
The bad level design with too many pits
Several more months of bug testing
Improve flight formation by making you fly only when you double jump, and making flight faster
Add the ability to customize your teams so you can pick any 3 characters in any combo
Give each character unique moves instead of each speed/power/flight type being so similar
Make it possible to clear any level in a single formation (necessary if the player uses similar characters), through the use of branching paths
More bosses
Fight Metal Sonic in a race before his monster form
An even bigger role for the Chaotix because they are awesome
