How do YOU define an AAA game?

Whoever says AAA is based on sales alone needs to smack themselves. Carnival Games sold MILLIONS, Unlimited Saga (WORST GAME I'VE EVER PLAYED IN MY LIFE....EVER!!!!!!!) sold over half a million....dare I say, Superman 64 sold well?
