The WiiU can experience a pretty staggering jump if the WiiU competitive push works out for them with MK8 and SSB. Especially if they offer a good (and given their system, free) online experience to foster a community between tournaments.
On the other side, if they release a decent catalog of games over several genres they may also get a decent kick. Vita, conversely, is fairly niche in its audience.
