Like I said in my previous post, I can play all these games even if I have to suffer a performance hit to play them.
You see the PC as a needless investment, I see it as important because I spend so much time on it, so that's where we differ. Still, it really shouldn't matter that much because we're still both able to enjoy a lot of these games, right? |
He never said that the PC was a needless investment, he just pointed out that PC gaming is generally more expensive. If you buy a $400 360 today you're guaranteed that all the games that will be released for it in the next 3-4 years will run on the system at full settings the way they were intended to, while if you bought a $400 computer today you'd be lucky to play some PC games at full settings and probably not be able to play the games released even a year or two from now that way.
Also look at some of the games you've mentioned, Halo 2 requires an upgrade to Windows Vista, Gears of War isn't even out on PC, and some of the other games you've mentioned require a fairly decent PC in order to get a good gaming experience out of them.
