I hate to be doing this, seeing as how pissed I am with Harmonix and EA over this cash-in port, but I feel Rock Band deserves a little bit of defense here, some of which was thankfully mentioned by others.
1. Activision's decision to change the guitar and put the Wiimote inside is not Harmonix's fault. They are continuing to make full fledged peripherals the way they do on all three other versions of this game. It's Activision's fault for changing the design for the Wii version.
2. Partial blame needs to be given to Nintendo for any lack of online features and DLC in the Wii version. Nintendo has a less efficient online set-up than the Dreamcast created, and were talking almost 8 years ago. Nintendo keeps offering more and more DLC with no storage options for them. I'm not taking blame off Harmonix and EA for lack of either feature, but Nintendo seems to want to give developers as difficult a time as they can implementing these features into games.
With all that said, in regards to this game, fuck Harmonix, fuck MTV, fuck EA and fuck Nintendo.
