Uh, no, they're not.
Seems like you're part of the people that believe that JRPG are FPS. JRPG being good is not defined by the number of polygons you see at any given time, not at all.
As such, Lost Odyssey is even the worst example of a JRPG to compare to Dawn of the New World (DNW), as Lost Odyssey was made to have mainly western appeal, while Tales of games are deeply japanese games.
PS3 and 360 sure are on a whole different level than the Wii: Wii is in heaven while 360/PS3 are lower than trash, at least in Japan.
If you were talking about FPS, I could agree that X game is far and beyond what can be done on the Wii, but given we're talking about JRPG, you're all wrong. That would be as stupid as saying that Lost Odyssey is far and beyond the PS2 era JRPG. Obviously it's not.
IMO, there are still no JRPG (not counting SRPG) this gen that is better than last gen ones, for now (must be why I'm playing mainly last gen ones).
And a Tales of may be the first to achieve that, be it the 360 or the Wii one.
As for SRPG, I don't know if Disgaea 3 is better than PS2 Disgaeas, but it's confirmed FE Wii is better than FE GCN.
