I don't buy my phone thinking about the future of the company. I don't work there, and I don't own shares there so I don't care!

What matters the most is price. I like quality in the products I buy, but my budget is limited. Why would I buy a "slightly better" phone when I can buy a similiar one for a much better price?

I'm not talking about the "future of a company" im talking about the future of what products and innovations you feel as if the company can bring to the table if you support them.

You could think about it that way. But then you remember you only have money for the cheaper phone... and suddenly... you stop caring about innovation and "the future".

In case that you had the money to buy the more expensive phone, you would still have to take into account the added features. Do the features in this phone justify the higher price tag? For example the Sony phone that can go underwater is $14999 here whereas the Samsung S4 is $6999. The waterproof feature is nice to have but it doesn't justify the higher price tag.
