Two different markets. Its not less competition. Verizon is also a cell and tv provider.

What is bad is when two companies in a single market become one... especially when there are only a few to begin with. 

You are late and very wrong. I already answered this days ago. Direct TV and AT&T both provide  "cable" TV service. I lived in Baton Rouge, LA for two years. I had three options: Cox Cable, AT&T U-Verse, and Direct TV. So how exactly is that two different markets?
