As an example, vgchartz has that the Wii sold 918m units total. Per OP, Nintendo's share of that is 396.44m. That's 43%!

Almost 1 in every 2 games sold on the Wii was a Nintendo  game.

Does anyone really doubt that Nintendo can support a console all by themselves?

Nintendo can support a console all by them selves and make money but it wont come close in HW sales to Sony or MS without a lot of luck like the Wii.
Remember regardless of how much more money the company makes HW sales are king to fanboys.

Well no one ever said fanboys were smart or understand that making the most money is what really matters.
