3D World isn't outpacing NSMBU. NSMBU is the top selling game on Wii U in every region, both in total sales (beating 3DW by about 2 million WW), and in weekly sales (last week was NSMBU 21k to 3DW 16k). The gap is only widening.
Edit: Oops, apparently you already knew the weekly. But NSMBU is definitely the one widening the gap now.
