I've heard it's good, but I didn't watch it early on so getting into it now would be a chore. I wish American TV seasons were shorter tbh, 20+ episodes is too much for serial shows it means any over-arching story arcs take too long. British TV series seem to make shows that seem longer than they are (6 episodes per 'season') I think by packing a similar amount of quality storytelling into a shorter space. I would prefer if it was more common to have something in-between with about 12 episodes but still with an American size budget.
One of the reasons I didn't get into it 8-9 seasons ago is I much prefer supernatural stories from the point of view of the supernatural being, or with one being an ally/sidekick to the main protagonist, and as I understand it the premise of Supernatural is that they hunt the beings (that said if it has lasted 9 seasons I have to assume they have had multiple and maybe some long running allies who are supernatural)
