That was a great article. I just finished reading the whole thing.

Even Nintendo's so-called "casual" games are actually very good. This is something most third parties should take note of. Nintendo has an ability to make games that anyone can enjoy. I don't know any gamer (casual or hardcore) who doesn't enjoy Mario Kart for example. With games like Super Mario Galaxy, Metriod Prime 3, Smash Bros., Zelda, and Fire Emblem, it should be obvious that Nintendo is focusing on more than just the casuals and non-gamers.

If it weren't for Nintendo's disruptive approach this generation, I really believe the industry would stagnate. While Microsoft and Sony fight over the hardcore niche, Nintendo aims for a more mainstream audience. Their success is a testament to their approach.

Anyway, thanks for posting this. I look forward to reading his upcoming articles.
