The assumption that great visuals come at the expense of compelling gameplay is utterly retarded as well. There are many great looking games with stellar gameplay, and plenty of utterly ugly games with poor gameplay. If developers won't come up with compelling gameplay with great visuals, what makes people think they would make a compelling game with poorer visuals?
