The fact he is still CEO makes me think he has some very strong support among some large stockholders or he at least has them in his pocket- ....however, he has made enough big mistakes and shown enough to illustrate his lack of operating abilities that he has earned his way out of a job - IMO Nintendo is either on its way to becoming a privately held company (and Iwata has been sandbagging) or they will make a change at CEO within the next 6+- months or they will stick w Iwata no matter what and he will run Nintendo into the ground
