Maybe. I personally haven't seen nearly the amount of speculative threads on here , or rumors while searching for E3 2014 regaurding Halo, but there could be fans of all 3 consoles eager for it's reveal. I'm not personally, but whatever.

this place isnt really a good indicator as there arent even alot of MS fans here, hell IMHO any video game forum is a poor indicator. Just look at the sales for Halo games.

True, but if we look at just the sales of a game equalling hype an even better selling series would be Mario Kart (more so than Halo), even New Super Mario Bros has sold astronomically (the Wii U version sold about 4 million on an install base of about 4 million, literally everyone had to have bought that game). Now, there is hype for MK8 and New Super Mario Bros had a great deal of it, but it's not even comparable to as much as for a Wii U Legend of Zelda. I'm talking fans from all sides of the community coming together and discussing one game. When that game is revealed there will not be a single person that isn't on the forums discussing that game.

i could say the same for Halo. and the Mario games Kart or 2d arent really good comparisons. 1 they have a MUCH largher appeal than Zelda 2 they dont rely on preorder numbers and 3 the ones that did do big numbers were games that released on much popular systems. IMHO i dont think the new Zelda will sell more than the new Halo so the hype will be irrelevant in the end.

I agree completely, Zelda U will NOT sell more than Halo whatever they're on (5 I think). I do however think Mario Kart will outsell Halo, and have had a great deal of preorders (it being on Amazon for a while now as the #1 Worldwide bestseller) but that at the end of the day depends on systems in peoples house. I was generally speaking about the hype circling the game. At the end of the day what will make it a success or not is if the hype moves consoles.
It also will sell great numbers, just not Halo numbers.

I dont think Mario kart will do better than Halo 5. IMHO the systems that it will sell will NOT allow it for those kinds of numbers. Xbone is doing way better in comparison i dont think they will have an issue selling alot. No i dont think MK will move that much systems to really change its faith. I also dont think its preorders are that fantastic. Destiny has higher and that doesnt come out for a while. Ps4 AND xone watchdogs have higher.

I did not know that. But preorders compared to actual sales you never know. Not to mention the amount of time it will be on the market. By the time Halo is out Mario Kart 8 will have already been out for a while, and Nintendo games have legs. Mario Kart isn't the type of game that usually gets preordered, it's the kind of game that gets bought over the holidays or for birthdays. And judging by the amount of preorders it is going to be pretty big. I can agree though, the amount of consoles that will be in peoples homes at that time are going to be in favor of XBox, so you may very well be right.
