I remain indifferent. I need to see more. But, August 2014, I called that. You guys should listen to me more often .

Also, I doubt the handful of people working on Wind Waker HD and Aonuma's trip to Koei's studios once every two weeks would have significantly sped up the development of Zelda U. Or that those people would have even been put to work on the Zelda franchise in the first place. Plus, they probably had a deadline (a goal, at least) for Zelda U before WWHD and HW were even considered. I do definitely relate to the feeling of wanting Zelda U sooner rather than later though!

The idea of WWHD came in 2011 when they were playing around with the tech demo.

Back then they were also already in the planning stages for the WiiU game. The WWHD thing back then was nothing more than an experiment to practice their HD skills and to try out a few styles for the new game. It's wasn't until later when they decided to just redo the whole game in HD and rerelease it. WWHD is a product of research for the new game, nothing more. Regardless of whether or not WWHD happened, those experiments would have. Thus it wouldn't have made a difference.
