Doing a Zelda-Metacritic comparison is hard, because a lot of the games don't have a Metacritic because they're too old. Four Swords would also be difficult because it's attached to a port of ALttP. I think the oldest that has one is Ocarina of Time. Of course, you could use the Metacritics of the various ports of the earlier games as the final score, but that wouldn't be fair because they wouldn't have been reviewed in their original context. But sure, go for it.
Anyway, about Pikmin, seems like pretty decent, consistent scores. Never really played any game, I was never interested enough. Though I liked the mini-game in Nintendo Land. Was one of my favorites. Lastly, an average of '88.6' should be rounded to '89', not '88'.
