Mario Kart 8 pushes Wii U to the limit?

I thought Nintendo has just confirmed on e-shop that MK8 is actually 720P 60fps (1-2 player),
or 720P 30fps (more than 2 players local),kinda curious on how Eurogamer did their calculation this time.
