GT4 ran on a falsely upscaled 1080i. Any system could do that. The Doom example Chrizum game was actually a good one. My DVD player plays DVDs in 720p, does that mean the DVDs look the same as blu-ray movies? Of course not, it's just a false upscalling. It's not what the game was designed to run in. The Wii could falsely upscale to 1080i if it wanted, but it's a pointless improvement, and natural 480p is signifficantly better.
