Agreed, It was quite the opposite to me. Bad to decent but highly rewarding and entertaining. Godzilla is a great excuse to see over the top action and special effects. I think that the real art and challenge of making a Godzilla movie is that it doesn't suck and being able to tell the most ridiculous story in the less ridiculous way possible.
