I'm not sure if it is worth it but what about giving users also a sort of currency ( like the old vg$ ) with for example a budget of 5000 each round. you can bet on items you feel you did well on.
Winnings or losses would be calculated on the avarage prediction and how much your prediction is worse or better then that avarage.
That way would could add winnings ratio and total winnings as rankings
