I loved the original Smash Brothers. The graphics look very ugly by modern standards, but they weren't bad at all for 1998. Although we only had 12 characters and 9 stages, I spent sooooo much time playing with my friends. I'm one of the few people who still prefers the original Smash over Melee too; the Gamecube sequel just played too fast and had too much "wavedashing" (or whatever you call it) for my tastes.
