 Microsoft has recently become a hardware company compared to Sony. The only reason they are doing it is because they want to monopolize any device that has multimedia. Microsoft wants to be the only brand to provide multimedia options. They can be beaten though if the world sees a quality product that they cannot combat against. The IPod proved this. Apple has shown us that that if Microsoft cannot penetrate enough of the market they desire to take over within a certain amount of time they will pull out. I think its time Nintendo and sony get to thinking.

Buying Kinect and Nokia was some great R&D. I swear. 

Yah because Kinect and Nokia is the only thing Microsoft is working on, right? Or because they are buying a tech/company definitely mean they are not investing at all on R&D to develop those techs? You must certainly believe they bought Kinect 2 from scratch and not just some patent/techs and then developped/invested/iterated on it to come with an totaly different final product?

Like others, Microsoft innovated and/or bought other companies in many areas (including hardware) and you choose to blindly ignore the fact that Sony and others are doing the EXACT same thing just because you like them and want to focus on the innovation part (while doing the opposite for MS). Regarding the bolded part, I hope you are not really thinking that Apple and Sony does not have the same goal?

As far as the "quality" of the products, I believe you need to check the reviews of Microsoft products (in general, including software) and you'll see that the quality is here. They are winning a LOT of quality awards but at the same time being the biggest (in software at least), they are also getting more shit and scrutinity from the Internet which lead to people like you who take their oppinion or perception as a "global" indication of Microsoft's product quality.

Of course you can name failures like the first Xbox 360 etc... But you quickly forget the PS1/PS2 DVD drive failure rate and other thing like that and point out Microsoft only. Microsoft hardware is generaly very good and top quality by the way (for a software company).

This shit about Microsoft "only" buying other companies and not being innovative is a so out of place and what of the most laughable arguments while trying to trash about Microsoft...


As I live and breathe I just bought a Windows mobile phone and it died on me for no apparent reason. No more American made products for me outside of Apple. I switched to LG. LOL @ quality. Their phones dont even have proper apps. The only value their WIndows mobile phones give are the cameras outside of being integrated to the Xbox. Thats not really that big of a deal. Apple does it better.
