Yes all 3DS models are identical in terms of functionality except that the 2DS can't play in stereoscopic 3D and the wireless bar is switched to a menu button. 

The 2DS also only has a mono speaker, so headphones are required for stereo sound.

This is why I dont listen to Australians. They always focus on the wrong stuff.
