Another good thing is that now AMD's graphics division would also have a leg up on Nvidia as samsung has the superior chip manufacturing technology to support them too. You don't have to be the best in all of those. All samsung needs to be is good enough to have a sizable market share and they are the best in the mobile space as evidenced by having the most market share in phones I think. |
I know it's illegal to have a monopoly, that's why I said companies can't just buy up their competition.
AMD wouldn't sell out to Samsung simply because they are doing great all on their own. It really isn't hard to outsource the manufacturing process.
And AMD would not come cheap, and the government will almost certainly step in to break such a deal up.
