And if you could kindly switch "Wii" back to "PS2", and "PS3" and "360" back to "DreamCast" before you ship them, they'd really appreciate it. To those who continue to argue that the Wii will somehow defy all historical trends and suddenly drop off the face of the planet, making way for the PS3 or 360 to dominate in its place: what you want reality to be and what reality is do not necessarily equal one another. You may be amazed to learn that what you want it to be has much lower priority than what it is. Kindly learn this lesson and stop making ridiculous claims that can only be backed with "because I want it to happen". That is not an argument. It barely qualifies as a belief. |
In the same vein though it's ridiculous for people to suggest (I haven't seen it yet in this thread, but the assertion abounds on this site) that due to the massive sales of the Wii developers will all suddenly jump ship on the PS3/360. Winning over developer support is a lengthy process, and does not/can not happen overnight. I think we may not see truly significant support for the Wii for at least another year, possibly two, and it will never be at the expense of development for the PS3/360.
