That was a price drop on the original 60 gig model, and then they came out with the 80 gig model a little after the price drop, but it still had BC, it just didn't have some of the hardware so it relied on software emulation. It wasn't until the 40gig model and the slim came out that they dropped the BC. I also got rid of my 60gig model when the slim came out. That thing cranked up the temperature in my room by like 20 degree's every time I turned that sucker on! |
80g had the EE chip. The first price cut yo are talking about is was the discontinuation of the 20gb with the 60gb taking the lower price and the 80gb retailed for 599. Then in Nov (a year later) the 40gb release at 399 with no BC
