It's is pretty surreal how he turned his carreer around (along with Matthew McConaughey). It's a bit easier to swallow the fact that he's Batman when he's just come off solid films like The Town and Argo.

I admit you have a point, and this gives me hope that it could be an acceptable Movie, because the Batman suit will do the same as the beard and hair in Argo, you will not really recognize him.

And don't forget "Gone Baby, Gone"!  Anyway, I loved The Town and there's one part early in the movie where he was doing chin ups and exercising.  When I saw that scene, I knew everything was gonna be alright.
