I guess that´d explain why there have been fewer games from them on consoles, but (entering subjective territory here) why would that automatically mean the quality of the games is generally not as good as it was in previous generations?...again, I´m speaking for myself, just someone who feels that in general, 7th gen Square, Capcom and Konami games pale in comparison to previous gen games from them.
Or, even in the case of mobile...I´m not familiar with Square games on iOS/Android, but have they released any original JRPGs on mobile?..as in, not ports of old games...if they have, are those games as good as Square efforts back in the PS1 days?
What I´m getting at is, I understand that as budgets increased they started releasing fewer games, but in the process, the overall quality of the games also decreased.
