Should Nintendo stop supporting DK so heavily?? It received one game in 2010 and one game in 2014 with no other normal platformers in the series since DK64, with all games in between kind of being spinoffs with different types of gameplay. They're not heavily supported DK as a traditional platformer at all.

Also, DKCR is only behind DKC1 in the entire franchise. It outsold both other DKCs as well as DK64, unlike you said in your OP.

I could see some people buying DKCR and being turned off by difficulty so not really being interested in TF, but TF is also on the WiiU, could be seen as the second tier platformer to SM3DW, and released off-holiday, so how much of a chance did it have? Also it's a 2D platformer. It it's not Mario I don't think people in droves see the value for that on their TV anymore.
Technically, it has a higher attach rate on WiiU.
