Was Dk:Tropical Freeze's Difficulty the main reason it did not sell that well?

I think its cause it was the billionth platformer on a console full of platfomers.. Its like when you keep on eating chocolate and then you feel sick but the only thing thats left is more chocolate... Chocolate is great on occasion but when all you eat is chocolate, it doesn't taste very good
