| spemanig said: Have you ever had a hunch? Like a hunch that you just know is true? A hunch so strong, that it's literally factual in your head? I have that hunch. Real gamepad-using 3D Mario 2014. 2D Metroid 3DS 2014. Majora's Mask 2014. There's little evidence other than there literally do arguement against these things happening. Tokyo EAD 1 hasn't made a serious game since the original Galaxy. Tokyo EAD 2 are the ones that made Galaxy 2, SM3DL and SM3DW. For Metroid, it's one of the few staple Nintendo franchises not yet to grace the 3DS and there hasn't been a 2D Metroid since Fusion. When planning out the release schedule for old IP's on the 3DS year to year, 2014 makes sense as one of the last IPs left. Grezzo finished OoT3D about two years ago, and Aonuma has already strongly hinted at Majora's Mask releasing on the 3DS only after a completely new 3DS Zelda game comes out. That 3DS Zelda was ALBW. This coming year fits in perfectly with the developement schedule. I expect to see all 3 of these games at e3. It's honestly not even a question in my mind. 100% irrefutable to me. I want to say "it just makes too much sense," but it's more than that. I just... I just know it. It's not even exciting to me. When they are revealed, I won't be excited, I'll just want the reveal to finish so we can get to reveals that would actually surprise me. Do you guys have any hunches that may as well be fact to you? |
The next EAD developed Mario game will come out in like 3 years. Maybe they even use it for the next console. They've just begun. Hayashida made NES Remix 1 and 2.
I really don't get why Mario 3D World is viewed like something inferior by some.If you have your preference, OK. But...I guess SMB and SMW are inferior too because they are fast platformers not centered on 3D exploration? Mario (even though ignorant gamers think otherwise) changes constantly. How is SMG the last "serious" game they made? Do you really think this guys have been working and working for the past 7 years and what they've done isn't serious?
SMG2 took 2 years and a half to make. It's a masterpiece.
SM3D Land wasn't as ambicious as other games, but it is a handheld platformer. It is excellent and I love it. SM3D World is on the freaking level of Galaxy. The effort put into this game... this is up there with the classics. Ad it isn't serious because you prefer Mario 64/Sunshine?
BTW SMG was centered more on linear platforming/action than Mario 64, so yeah, the change began earlier.

It is a production where my only thought was to burn my feelings into film. (Hideaki Anno)

Kill la Kill is awesome.
"This game has been like a light finally shining into what has been such a depressing time. I feel like this game has given me the power to go on living," the player wrote. "It's something like a miracle. It's helped me remember pure feelings from a more innocent time. I want to thank the development team."
"As game developers, our work is special," said Hayashida. "All of us here can put smiles on very many people's faces with our work."
