Microsoft came out swinging with a bunch of games in the first few years of the 360 as well. Then when they decided they had captured enough of the core audience they stopped trying completely. The Kinect marked the turning point.

Now they know they need games again or the Xbox One will never fly. So of course they will push to money hat a bunch of exclusives. The second the One is considered enough of a success they will stop again and revert to pushing out one Gears or Halo per year. If that is acceptable good for you.

Sony is way more generous with their sales and free games. Sony is way more willing to try new things (Puppateer comes to mind). Sony has an almost complete monopoly on Japanese RPGs. Sony has a much larger number of first party exclusives with much greater variety. Sony doesn't stop trying to appeal to their core in the middle of the generation. Sony is unaffraid to admit gimcky motion controls are just that. Sony doesn't stop supporting their previous systems the second the new one comes out.

I understand when people want to support Microsoft but as someone who has supported them since 2001 and up until recently, I know how they work.

And personally I don't see this "amazing library of constant Xbox One games." I just don't. Final Fantasy XIV Online alone could eat up 5 times as many hours of gameplay as all their exclusives combined and Titanfall and Garden Warfare are both available with identical gameplay on the 360 as well. Really in my opinion Dead Rising 3 is all the Xbox One has going for it right now and that should have been a multiplatform game to begin with.

Final Fantasy XIV? Its a failed pc mmo where you have to buy the game and then on top of that pay monthly to play it. Been there done that,  got my Scholor to level 40 from doing nonthing but boring 10 year old combat and fex ex  questing. Uninstalled from pure boredom of another wow clone.  Sorry but games like Titanfall are played way more then something like Final Fantasy XIV.
