After TF and a temp price cut not moving consoles I'm not sure what people think will be moving these millions of X1s. Halo is still well over a year away. The first Xbox had 2 but didn't exactly move Xbox hardware against an entrenched opponent with a superior library and cheaper hardware. Much like the Wii U I expect a very scary quarter for MS after the holidays(Not that sold in shipments and them overstuffing the channel and a 1.6 billion spend isn't already a scary quarter). Wii U started off it's life outpacing the Wii. It didn't last very long. I don't think X1s holidays will be anywhere near as good as the 360s. I wouldn't be surprised to see x1 start doing worse in it's 2nd year than the first. |
Big difference between Wii/Wii U and Xbox One.. 3rd party games are NOT coming to the Wii U at all. After E3 when all the big multi-plats are announced and almost NONE of them are coming to the Wii U.. that will be it. The Wii U will be a 1st PARTY console only for the most part. To not think that the XBox One will catch up to the Wii U at ANY time .. that blows my mind. The first 4 months of 2014 it has almost sold 3X as many consoles as the Wii U. Most who want MK8, SSB already bought the WIi U.. I don't think they will be the system sellers many think. I do think by the end of the 2014 the Xbox One will be ahead of the Wii U. While Halo 4 might be 2015.. I think Halo 2 Next-Gen remake will be a big seller. Halo 2 will remind those who loved it to BUY a Xbox One.. (Sunset Overdrive and Quantum Break aren't looking to shabby either) .. I think MicroSoft has some surprises for E3 also... Nintendo doesnt.
