Really? I thought was to play the old classics on any Sony device as well.

That's maybe later. But seeing how there already are PS3s with PS2 emulators and that the PS4 might get a PS1/2 emulator, streamed PS1/2 games would only really matter on mobile phones(I don't expect this app anytime soon on TVs) who don't really deliver the same experience.
