2008 was absolutely bonkers, when gamers everywhere were wondering when the Wii's bubble would burst. That, coupled with the release of Grand Theft Auto IV, led many to believe that Wii's reign was over. But then Mario Kart Wii and Super Smash Bros. Brawl released and the system sold like gold plated hotcakes (despite the infamous E3 performance...).
