Nintendo is so lost in the dark, it is not even funny. This company is run by idiots.
People in emerging markets have access to the internet, therefore they are well aware of all the any new tech that gets released in the developed countries, and that is what they want. They don't want be treated as third rate costumers.
Just take a look at Apple, they never design their products for emerging markets and they couldn't be happier with the performance of their products in the emerging markets.
