I never stop whining about one point: useless, off-topic threads and the users that start them. IMO, This isn't just another forum. This is a forum which happens to be providing significant data about the videogame industry. Significant efforts have been and are currently being made to encourage the industry to look at VGC as a legitimate additional source on video gaming data. That said, the front page -- that which people see when they come for the first time -- is full of data that represents that goal. Off-topic discussion on the front page serves no purpose toward that end.
And, yes, I do realize the irony of "professionalism" and my avatar. If it is inappropriate, I'll remove it. I didn't see any rules and not a single mod and/or Ioi has said anything about it so it stays. Same thing for length/width discussion threads. They are apparently not inappropriate for discussion on the main page of the website so there they are.
White Devil -- you are right. My last complaint was about a handful of threads on this very subject. The spam was out of hand. Literally 1000s of posts by a handful of users just generating spam. I checked out for a while, and just as I said, would come back if things were cleaned up a bit. Apparently I wasn't the only one "whining" as Ioi and the mods got quite busy fixing that little problem. I guess they are whiners, too, as they weren't all-too-happy, either. The bans and warnings helped quite a bit and things settled down significantly. However, when I jumped online last night, I found almost half the front page threads to be completely off-topic. Right back where we were. I guess it's a bit hard for you to comprehend the idea of on-topic discussion since the vast majority of your posts are more or less worthless drivel. Sorry to be so blount but that's how I see it.
Carry on.
