Assuming that Sony plans to support this console in full until at at least the end of this decade (whenever they announce a successor or if Playstation goes digital due to advances in tech), this would put the console on track to outsell the DS and PS2, which I`m not fully convinced to at this point. Though Nintendo isn`t providing much competition, the Xbox One is certainly providing much more competition than did the original Xbox against the PS2. In addition, the existence and rapidly increasing popularity of smartphones and tablets make it hard to believe the PS4 will perform that well.
