I had to review one a few years back and I too was impressed by Road to the Show. Wasn't enough to get over how boring I find realistic sports games for the most part so I didn't play it beyond the review, but it was a really cool idea for a game mode that really only works well in that specific sport. Doesn't make much sense in any other team sport I can think of to have the player control and manage a single guy throughout their career instead of the whole team. Definitely enjoyed the RPG leveling aspects of it as well.
