Don't hold your breath, but it actually *might* have sold a Wii U or two in the UK. Tesco had a time-limited deal for the MK8 bundle at £200 (now expired) and it is now selling at £239. At Amazon, the bundle is £249 but appearing absolutely nowhere in the top 100 best sellers list, despite the game itself being in the top 3 (at the time of this post).

However, when filtering the best sellers list to show pre-orders only, I found the bundle at number 51 (at the time of this post).

So at least the bundle is being pre-ordered in the UK... and let's face it, if the promotion Nintendo is promising actually manages to shift some Wii U's here, where most people don't even realise the console exists, then it can only be good news for sales everywhere else.

(edit to add) Just in the past couple of hours the Mario Kart 8 bundle has crept up 8 places to number 43 in Amazon UK's preorder list, and the basic white Wii Wheel (without controller) has just rocketed up 200 places to (don't laugh) 335. It might not be much, but it's happening...
