I said that the most prominent titles on the360 are shooters, sports games, and racing/driving sims. Just look at its most popular and best-selling titles. Honestly, why do you think it can only sell well in one region? It's because its library appeals almost exclusively to core and hardcore american gamers.

It has JRPG's, but as far as I'm concerned, they're nothing to write home about. Neither are those platformers you listed(especially Sonic. yuck., and the Crash games have sucked ever since Naughty Dog stopped making them) .Platformers aren't made as often anymore? Kirby Kanvas Curse, Kirby Squeak Squad, NSMB, Yoshi's Island DS, Ratchet & Clank: FTD, Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, SMG, Super Paper Mario, LBP, Sonic Rivals.

I'm not just comparing the 360(or the Wii) to the PS3(which by now has atleast one decent platformer and one decent exclusive adventure games despite a year less on the market). I'm comparing them to the other platforms as well, which would include the DS and PSP(which have all those genres a lot better covered).

Firstly, you're talking now about titles that stick out publicly. Just because those three genres are the most popular does not mean the 360 lacks diversity in other genres. They just don't sell well. You confused prominence with precense. Those other genres exist on the 360 whether they sell or not.

Secondly you can't compare PS3's year 1/2 lineup to 360's first year 1/2 lineup. The reality is, the 360 released 12 months earlier and it's library is one year larger, thus more diversity. The SNES library is more diverse than 360 but it had 5-6 years on the market to make it that way. In our reality, PS3s library is just less diverse than 360's, end of story.

Thirdly, I wasn't arguing about the PSP and the DS because I agree with you there. You are however horribly wrong about the PS3 being more diverse than the 360.

Also I checked VG Chartz for the PS3's million sellers and guess which titles are the most "prominent"? Well lookie here, there are two racing games, two FPSes and two sports games, totaling 60% of the 10 titles with each genre sharing 20% each. The 360 has 35 million sellers with 7 titles being FPSes(20%), 5 racing games(14%) and 6 sports titles(18%). It seems the PS3 is as prominent or more prominent in all of these genres.
