That still doesn't explain other new 3D movies, like:

I, Frankenstein

300: Rise of an Empire

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

The Amazing Spider-Man 2

They get the majority of their sales from 3D. (I'm talking about more tickets for 3D then 2D)

Yes, and like I highlighted, cinemas have invested a lot of money in the installation of 3D capable screens and eyewear, its only natural that they will lean heavilly towards pushing 3D tickets to maximise profit from their substantial investments, what do you want them to do "oh hey guys were going to show 2d stuff on our 3d capable screens", no, that isnt, doesnt and wont happen - 3d screenings of new films available in 3D are shown more frequently and shown at more major cinemas than their 2D counterparts.

So using cinema ticket sales as a longwinded way to backup your weak 3ds argument is laughable at best.

Well it looks like the 3DS will sell only a third of what the DS sold
So 2DS YES, 3DS NO

You do know that Nintendo is in talks to discontinue the 2DS because of poor sales, right.

Right now they are trying massive marketing & advertising & branding as well as a new price tag of $99.99¢ for the 2DS, but it still hasn't been selling to this date.

But the 2DS did a little good at Launch, but clearer milked its entire niche market already.

Pulled entirely out of your backside, they dropped the price, pure and simple. But I have to ask since you did pull it out of your backside, as a sideline product, who exactly does nintendo need to "be in talks with" to discontinue a product?

Yes, yes, were discussing discontinuing a product, so lets launch a massive marketing and advertising compaign for it even though were "in talks" to discontinue it.

Gimmie a break, 2DS sales are lower because the hardware is badly designed and the screens are easy to scratch, people want the more common clamshell version and buy that instead, especially since its more commonly bundled with new games, that is all there is to it.

Don't believe me? make a poll and ask "Do you use 3D on your 3DS anymore", and see the results for yourself, people try it when they first get one, but in most cases it's slid down to off and left there after the novelty has worn off (usually within an hour), infact, you know what, i'll make the thread right now.
