The 3D feature is pretty cool, it hurts my eyes on my launch model but I use it a lot more on the XL.

LOL, the whole point of the Depth Slider was to lower the volume of 3D, and also turn it off for a break lasting somewhere from 15 minutes to 60 minutes. (depends on user).

After a maximum of 1 to 2 weeks of that, you would be playing with the 3D all the way up 24/7.

I personally play on Max 3D since launch, well since April 6, 2K11. I only didn't get the XL becuase the 3D Depth in newer games keep getting more EXTREME every 6 to 8 months that passes. I think they're just focusing on reducing unnoticeable ghost effects at this point. Plus some of these firmware updates increase battery life.

I used the 3D cranked up to the max the majority of the time, it dosen't change the fact that the screen is small, so looking a little bit too far in either direction knocks your focus off. With the XL you have a much larger screen area to work with, so moving your head or 3DS just a little bit isn't quite as weird.

There's a reason why people heavily reccomend the XL over the original.
