But there is some connection because Yamamoto did a big part (maybe the whole thing) of the score for DCKR when they tried and couldn't get Wise for it. Look it up.
The main question is whether Nintendo could let such a talented person go in general (not even just for Metroid or DK), because I remember in an Iwata Asks that Iwata said he loves David Wise's music.
