Even as a video game old timer, I fucking LOVED the Wii.

But boy did I still have issues with it, and Nintendo way of utilizing it. And here's some of my griefs:

- Didn't act as a online hotspot for the DS. Seriously, how hard could that have been.

- Motion Plus was managed so poorly for a device with so much potential. Boo.

- Lower bar for WiiWare sales before payout for developers. For a platformed that proved so relatively unpopular, it was absolutely insane to keep such limits in place.

- Quality control on 3rd parties went down the shitter.

- The Nintendo Selects line remains a complete joke. Doesn't manage to bring the best sellers out to a bigger audience, and doesn't manage to bring the best reviewed games back from the dead either.

- The online store was and remains terrible. Hard to navigate, tiny screenshots, unattractive pricing.

- The potential of "channels" completely neglected as a way to keep casuals interested in using the system.

- The potential of the message board and online infra structure completely neglected.

- Spare Wii Remotes and Nunchucks both sold at laughable overprices.

- Complete inability to explain to people how the "sensor bar" actually functioned. Most still don't know.
